English Teacher - Primary Years

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to enhance student understanding of English language concepts.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, classroom assessments, and individualized feedback.
• Provide mentorship and tutoring to students needing additional support in writing skills, reading comprehension, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to improve educational outcomes.
• Maintain effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and academic success.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education, literacy education, and teaching methodologies.

Skills

• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and faculty.
• Organizational skills to manage classroom activities, resources, and student records efficiently.
• Background in linguistics or creative writing is a plus.
• Familiarity with higher education teaching practices and experience working with diverse student populations including special education needs.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and academic advising strategies.
