Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Data Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate must be TOGAF Certified and possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise and data architecture. This role involves defining data strategies, developing architecture blueprints, and ensuring alignment between IT initiatives and organizational business goals. The individual will also be responsible for optimizing data assets, establishing governance frameworks, and supporting presales activities.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

• Develop, maintain, and communicate comprehensive enterprise architecture models aligned with business objectives, IT strategy, and industry best practices.

• Engage with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and design scalable, future-ready architectural solutions.

• Lead the creation of data architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and implementation plans for enterprise-wide initiatives.

• Conduct architecture assessments to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities and propose actionable recommendations.

Data Architecture & Data Management

• Design, implement, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting business and analytical needs.

• Define data standards, naming conventions, classification policies, and metadata frameworks to ensure data integrity and consistency.

• Develop end-to-end data integration strategies across diverse systems and platforms.

• Establish and enforce data governance frameworks to support data quality, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.

• Implement data profiling, cleansing, cataloging, and metadata processes to uphold data accuracy and reliability.

Database Systems & Optimization

• Evaluate and select appropriate database and storage technologies based on scalability, performance, and cost considerations.

• Design and optimize database schemas, indexes, and queries for efficient data storage, access, and performance.

• Provide leadership and oversight in database architecture decisions across the enterprise.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

• Support presales activities including proposals, RFPs, SOW creation, and collateral development.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across technical and non-technical teams.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the enterprise architecture landscape.

Travel Requirement

• Willingness and readiness to travel to client locations within the MEA region for medium to long-term assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• TOGAF Certification is mandatory.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience designing and implementing enterprise and data architecture solutions in complex, large-scale environments.

• Strong expertise with architecture modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, TOGAF Architect) and enterprise architecture platforms.

• Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, and strong knowledge of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).

• Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, big data platforms, and modern data architectures.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps methodologies.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
