Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
ERP Implementation Manager
to lead and govern the delivery of enterprise application implementations executed by
external vendors and system integrators
. This role represents the
client-side owner
, ensuring that vendors deliver according to
agreed scope, quality standards, timelines, and budget
.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing
ERP implementations from the client side
, with a proven ability to
govern vendors, control risk, and assure delivery quality
across complex, large-scale programs.
Key Responsibilities
Project Ownership & Governance
-
Act as the
primary point of accountability
for end-to-end delivery of enterprise application projects.

Establish and manage
project governance structures
, including steering committees, status reporting, and escalation forums.

Ensure alignment between business objectives, project scope, and vendor delivery.
Vendor & Partner Management
-
Manage and govern
external system integrators and vendors
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics partners).

Ensure vendor deliverables comply with
contractual commitments, SLAs, scope, and quality standards
.

Constructively challenge vendors and enforce accountability where required.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
-
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks.
-
Manage critical issues, dependencies, and cross-stream impacts.
-
Ensure timely escalation, decision-making, and resolution.
Quality Assurance & Controls
-
Oversee quality assurance across all project phases.

Review and approve key deliverables, including:
-
Functional and technical design documents
-
Configuration and solution designs
-
Test strategies, plans, and results
-
Monitor System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) readiness and execution.
Planning, Budget & Change Control
-
Manage project plans, milestones, and schedules.
-
Track budget and vendor financial performance against plan.
-
Ensure strong
change control and scope management
processes are followed.
Stakeholder & Business Alignment
-
Coordinate with internal stakeholders across
business, IT, and leadership
teams.

Ensure organizational readiness for deployment and adoption.
-
Provide clear, concise executive reporting and status updates.
Deployment & Transition
-
Oversee:
-
Data migration strategy and execution (delivered by vendor)
-
System integration points
-
Cutover planning and go-live readiness
-
Ensure smooth transition to
post–go-live support and vendor handover
.
Required Experience & Skills
-
8–12+ years
of IT experience, with significant
client-side project management
exposure.
-
Proven experience managing
ERP implementations delivered by external vendors
(SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

Strong expertise in:

Vendor management and governance
-
Contract and SLA management
-
Risk and issue management
-
Quality assurance and controls
-
Project governance and reporting
-
Solid understanding of ERP implementation lifecycles and methodologies.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with
senior leadership
.

Ability to operate under pressure and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications

Project management certifications
-
Experience supporting
large-scale or multi-entity transformation programs

Exposure to
cloud ERP platforms
such as:

SAP S/4HANA

Oracle Cloud ERP

Microsoft Dynamics 365
-
Understanding of commercial models, contracts, and vendor SLAs.
