The Estates Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of all Estates Management services across the contract. This role will lead and manage the engineering and technical teams, including Senior Engineers, Engineers, Team Leaders, and support staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery, compliance with statutory and contractual obligations, and achievement of performance targets.
The role requires strong leadership to drive operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction across estates services, while supporting long-term asset lifecycle management and contract growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all Estates Management services, including:
- Planned and reactive maintenance of MEP, building fabric, specialist systems, and FF&E.
- Assist with Variation works (fit-outs, refurbishments, and change of use).
- Space planning, moves and changes, minor churn services.
- Document control, CAD services, and technical library management.
- Management of Permit to Work System.
- Ensure compliance with QHSE policies, IMS procedures, UAE legislation, and industry best practice.
- Lead, motivate, and develop multi-disciplinary engineering, technical, and administrative teams.
- Monitor performance against KPI and SLA requirements, providing timely operational and technical reports to the client and internal stakeholders.
- Manage service providers and contractors to ensure delivery to contractual standards.
- Develop and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement, environmental sustainability, cost optimisation, and service innovation.
- Contribute to financial planning, budgets, and cost control activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and service providers.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager when required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Education & Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in MEP maintenance and operations, with at least 5 years in an FM management role.
- Proven experience managing large, multi-disciplinary technical teams.
- Experience within higher education or large-scale facilities desirable.
