Estimation Manager – Automobiles

Roles and Responsibilities

· Manage and organize the estimation department

· Review tender documents to understand the client's requirements

· Coordinate with Sales /Export departments for any discrepancies and clarifications

· Select suitable design / Material / Brand / Equipment in consultation with the department as required

· Coordinate with suppliers for RFI / RFQ

· Negotiate with Suppliers for the best price and technical clarifications

· Maintain submittal files such as ISO Certificate, Licenses, Authorizations, Database archives etc

· Evaluate the suppliers sub components proposals to propose the one most optimal solution

· Prepare estimation sheet, Commercial offer, technical specification, drawing, compliance sheet and other submittal documents

· Re-strategize the proposal and proposals for the lost and re tenders

Desired Candidate Profile

· Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

· Demonstrates 7+ years of experience in cost estimation within the automotive industry.

· Exhibits a deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and technologies.

· Shows proficiency in using cost estimation software and tools

· Displays strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.

· Possesses excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.

· Demonstrates leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing a team.

· Exhibits a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

· Is fluent in English (written and spoken), with any additional language skills being a plus.
