Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for deck building projects, renovations, and other home service tasks by reviewing project plans, blueprints, and client specifications.
• Site Visits: Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the scope of work, materials required, and any specific client needs to generate accurate cost estimates.
• Proposal Preparation: Create and present clear and concise proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and project scope to clients.
• Client Communication: Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert recommendations regarding materials, design options, and cost-saving strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the project managers, sales team, and construction crew to ensure seamless project execution from estimate to completion.
• Budget Management: Track project costs and compare them to original estimates to ensure budget adherence and identify any variances.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and change orders in a well-organized manner.

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator in the construction, deck building, or home services industry.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and pricing structures.
• Familiarity with local building codes, permits, and regulations.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using estimating software (preferably Housecall Pro).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage clients and colleagues effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $69,582.00 - $99,000.00 per year
