Estimator (Fitout)

1. Tender & Bid Preparation

• Review tender drawings, BOQs, specs, and scope documents
• Identify gaps, risks, and clarifications in tender documents
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out works
• (partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, MEP coordination, finishes, FF&E, etc.)
• Price variations, alternates, and value-engineering options

• Ensure submissions meet client, consultant, and deadline requirements2. Quantity Take-Offs

• Perform accurate material and labor take-offs
• Measure items from drawings and BIM models
• Break down quantities by trade (carpentry, gypsum, glass, metal, painting, etc.)
• Maintain take-off records for audit and revisions

3. Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

• Issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors
• Analyze and compare vendor quotations
• Negotiate prices, lead times, and technical compliance
• Build and maintain a vendor rate database

4. Costing & Pricing

• Prepare detailed cost build-ups (materials, labor, overheads, profit)
• Apply market rates and productivity norms
• Factor in logistics, preliminaries, site constraints, and risks
• Ensure margins align with company targets

5. Value Engineering & Cost Optimization

• Propose alternative materials or methods to reduce cost
• Work with design, procurement, and project teams to optimize solutions
• Support client presentations for cost-saving proposals

6. Contract & Post-Tender Support

• Assist in contract negotiations
• Provide handover packages to project execution teams
• Support variation pricing and claims
• Track cost changes vs tender assumptions
