Job Title: Estimator – MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)Experience Required: Minimum 10 Years Location: DUBAI Department: Estimation / MEP Division Reporting To: Estimation Manager / MEP Head

Job Summary:

The MEP Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works related to building construction and interior fit-out projects. The role involves detailed analysis of drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure competitive and technically compliant pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender drawings, specifications, and scope of works for MEP systems.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
  • Analyze design documents, identify cost-saving opportunities, and participate in value engineering.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to ensure accuracy of pricing and technical compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain cost databases, supplier lists, and historical pricing information.
  • Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and client discussions when required.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, cost comparisons, and technical submissions.
  • Assist management in budget estimation and cost planning for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Ensure all estimates are completed within given deadlines and in line with company standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in construction or fit-out projects (preferably within the GCC).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems and their integration in building services.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as Candy, Planswift, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in interior fit-out or design-build projects.
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and supplier market rates in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Membership in ASHRAE, CIBSE, or equivalent professional body (optional but preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
