- A Maintenance Executive plans, directs, and oversees all facility upkeep, ensuring equipment runs smoothly through preventive schedules, emergency repairs, team/vendor management, budget control, and strict adherence to safety/quality standards, focusing on operational efficiency and minimizing downtime for buildings, machinery, and systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule maintenance staff and external contractors/vendors.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily repairs, installations, inspections, and troubleshooting for equipment, buildings, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities meet health, safety (OSHA), and regulatory standards.
- Budget & Inventory: Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and monitor spare parts/supplies inventory.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records, and report on daily activities and performance.
- Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong technical knowledge (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC).
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Experience in facility/building maintenance, often with a
- Diploma/ITI/Bachelors in a technical field. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to flexible schedules.
- A Typical Day Might Involve:
- Inspecting facilities and addressing reported issues.
- Coordinating with electricians, plumbers, and housekeeping.
- Reviewing maintenance schedules and staff assignments.
- Ordering supplies and approving invoices.
