Experienced HVAC Service Technician – Mini-Splits, Heat Pumps & Install Experience a Plus

We are hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong mini-split and heat pump experience. Installation experience is a huge plus.

We are looking for someone strong in HVAC service, troubleshooting, maintenance, mini-splits, and heat pump systems. Installation experience is a huge plus, especially with mini-splits, heat pumps, condensers, air handlers, and related equipment.

EHC Inc. provides residential and light commercial HVAC service throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts. Our work includes service calls, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, mini-splits, heat pumps, central AC systems, furnaces, boilers, thermostats, zoning systems, and general heating and cooling support.

What You’ll Do

• Perform HVAC service, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Service mini-splits, heat pumps, central AC systems, furnaces, boilers, air handlers, and condensers
• Perform seasonal maintenance, cleanings, inspections, and safety checks
• Troubleshoot thermostats, zoning systems, low-voltage wiring, condensate issues, airflow problems, refrigerant issues, and equipment faults
• Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, pressure testing, charging, and leak checks when needed
• Explain findings clearly to customers and provide repair or replacement recommendations
• Document work with photos, notes, and accurate job details
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area
• Assist with or lead installations depending on experience

Requirements

• 3+ years of HVAC field experience preferred
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting ability
• Experience with mini-splits and heat pumps strongly preferred
• EPA certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Comfortable working independently in occupied homes and businesses
• Able to communicate clearly with customers and the office
• Clean, safe, professional workmanship

Installation Experience Is a Huge Plus

Installation experience is highly valued for this position, especially experience with:

• Mini-split installations
• Heat pump installations
• Condenser and air handler replacements
• Refrigerant piping, pressure testing, evacuation, and charging
• Condensate drains and pumps
• Line hide, stands, brackets, pads, and outdoor equipment setup
• Thermostats, controls, and low-voltage wiring
• Startup, testing, and commissioning

• Hydronic heating
• Zoning systems and controls
• Light commercial HVAC
• Refrigeration license
• OSHA certification
• Oil burner, gas fitting, plumbing, or sheet metal experience
