Experienced Personal Injury Attorney – Pre-Lit

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury attorney with substantial pre-litigation experience to support our multi-state PI operation in a non-appearance, non-representation capacity.

This role is specifically designed for attorneys who are strong at case evaluation, demand development, liability analysis, and pre-lit settlement strategy. The goal is to resolve the majority of cases before litigation by working closely with our internal case managers and coordinating with local of-counsel / co-counsel attorneys who formally represent the clients.

This is not a litigation or trial role.

Core Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate personal injury cases (auto, trucking, rideshare, and related matters)
• Develop pre-lit settlement strategy from intake through demand
• Assist with:
• Liability and coverage analysis
• Damages evaluation
• Demand letter strategy and review
• Settlement positioning and negotiation support
• Work collaboratively with local of-counsel / co-counsel attorneys handling formal representation
• Guide internal case managers on steps needed to move cases toward efficient resolution
• Identify early escalation or referral issues when pre-lit resolution is not viable

Ideal Candidate

• Licensed attorney in any U.S. jurisdiction
• Proven pre-litigation PI settlement experience (required)
• Track record of resolving cases before suit
• Comfortable working behind the scenes with case managers and co-counsel
• Strong judgment, organization, and settlement mindset
• High-volume PI experience is a plus

Compensation

• 10% of attorney fees generated on cases you assist in resolving
• Paid as fees are earned/collected
• No cap; performance-based upside
• Independent contractor (1099)

This role is not suited for litigation-only or trial-focused attorneys.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $42,351.40 - $75,089.86 per year

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
