Product Sourcing & Procurement Specialist (China & International Markets – UAE)

Job Description (JD)Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable manufacturers and suppliers in China and other international markets
• Source products suitable for UAE market demand (pricing, quality, compliance, trends)
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times
• Conduct supplier verification, factory audits, and quality checks (directly or via third-party inspectors)
• Manage sample development, testing, and approvals
• Coordinate with freight forwarders for shipping (FOB, CIF, DDP)
• Handle import/export documentation and ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations
• Monitor production timelines and resolve supply chain issues
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and continuously look for cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams in the UAE

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7+ years of experience in international sourcing / procurement
• Strong hands-on experience sourcing from China (mandatory); other markets a plus (India, Turkey, Vietnam, etc.)
• Proven track record in product sourcing for resale / trading / e-commerce / retail
• Excellent negotiation and cost-reduction skills
• Deep understanding of quality control processes
• Knowledge of shipping, logistics, and Incoterms
• Experience dealing with UAE import regulations and customs
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple suppliers

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Has lived or worked closely with China suppliers
• Existing supplier network in China or other sourcing markets
• Understands UAE consumer expectations (quality, certifications, pricing)
• Detail-oriented, commercially smart, and cost-focused
• Comfortable traveling for factory visits (if required)
• Experience working with trading companies, distributors, or e-commerce brands
