Role Overview:


We are hiring an Experienced Upwork Bidder who can consistently win projects on Upwork in two core categories: AI software solutions and full-stack development .


This role is purely Upwork-focused. You will own the complete Upwork business development cycle—from finding the right jobs and writing winning proposals to converting chats into interviews, closing contracts, and ensuring a clean handover to delivery teams.


Core Service Areas You Will Bid On:


AI Software Skill Sets:


  • LLM solutions, chatbots, AI assistants, AI agents, AI Voice Agents.
  • RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases
  • Fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation & guardrails
  • NLP (classification, extraction, summarization), Computer Vision (as applicable)
  • AI automation and integrations (APIs, workflows (n8n, tools)
  • Data pipelines, analytics, model deployment support (where relevant to project scope)


Full Stack Development Skill Sets:


  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue (as applicable)
  • Backend: Node.js, Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), PHP/Laravel (as applicable)
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
  • APIs: REST, GraphQL, integrations with 3rd-party services
  • Deployment basics (cloud/VPS), performance, bug-fixing, enhancements


You are not expected to code, but you must understand these skill sets enough to bid accurately, qualify requirements, and communicate confidently with clients.


Upwork Bidder Responsibilities (A-to-Z Cycle)


A) Market Research & Daily Job Hunting:


  • Monitor Upwork daily for high-fit jobs in AI software workspace and full-stack development categories.
  • Use smart filtering: budget, client history, hiring rate, verified payment, scope clarity, and urgency.
  • Identify strong buying signals and avoid low-quality posts or unrealistic budgets.


B) Opportunity Qualification (Before Bidding)

  • Quickly assess: scope, tech stack, complexity, delivery expectation, timeline, and client intent.
  • Decide whether to bid, boost, or skip based on probability of conversion and ROI.


C) Proposal Writing (High-Conversion & Customized)

  • Write proposals that are short, sharp, and relevant—no generic copy-paste.
  • Strong first 2–3 lines (hook), clear understanding of the problem, and a simple solution approach.
  • Add the right portfolio/case study links and relevant proof points.
  • Ask structured discovery questions to increase responses and move the client to the interview.


D) Connects Strategy & Bidding Discipline

  • Manage Connects usage professionally (including boosting where it makes sense).
  • Track what converts (job types, budgets, niches, messaging) and continuously optimize ROI.
  • Maintain consistency in bidding volume while ensuring quality and relevance.


E) Upwork Profile, Portfolio & Visibility Optimization

  • Optimize profile for conversion and search relevance for AI and full stack services:
  • Headline, overview, keywords, service positioning
  • Specialized profiles (if used)
  • Portfolio order and descriptions focused on outcomes
  • Improve profile credibility to increase response rate, invites, and interview conversion.


F) Client Chat Handling & Interview Conversion

  • Reply promptly and professionally in English.
  • Convert messages into interviews by clarifying scope, goals, and next steps.
  • Share short, confident answers and a structured approach without overpromising.
  • Coordinate quickly with the technical team when deeper input is required.


G) Estimation Support, Closing & Contract Readiness

  • Assist in shaping scope clarity for fixed-price or hourly contracts.
  • Help structure milestones (if applicable) and basic delivery expectations.
  • Ensure proper closure steps are followed: agreement, start date, deliverables, and communication plan.


H) Handover to Delivery Team (After Win)

  • Prepare a clean internal handover note including:
  • Client requirements, scope summary, timeline, tech stack
  • Commitments made in chat
  • Risks, assumptions, and next immediate steps
  • Ensure the delivery team can start without confusion or missing information.


I) Follow-Ups, Re-engagement & Pipeline Nurturing

  • Maintain follow-up discipline for:
  • unanswered proposals
  • ongoing chats
  • clients who “will decide later.”
  • Keep leads warm and move them through a structured journey until closure.


J) Reporting & Performance Tracking

Maintain daily/weekly reporting of Upwork performance, such as:

  • Jobs reviewed, shortlisted, proposals sent
  • Responses received, interviews booked
  • Active conversations and pipeline value (USD)
  • Wins, revenue generated, and conversion ratios
  • Connects spent vs results


Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an Upwork Bidder with demonstrated results (wins/interviews/pipeline).
  • Strong understanding of Upwork workflow: searching, bidding, boosting, proposal strategy, and chat conversion.
  • Working understanding of AI software and full-stack development service scopes and common client requirements.
  • Excellent English communication (Upwork chat + proposal writing).
  • Organized and disciplined in follow-ups, trackers, and reporting.
  • Must be able to work 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM (PKT) and on-site at DHA Raya Office, Lahore.
