Expert UI/UX (Figma) Designer

Position Overview:


Join our dynamic team at Meraki-IT as a UI/UX Designer, where your creativity and expertise in designing intuitive and visually compelling web and mobile applications will be instrumental. In this role, you will be at the heart of creating seamless user experiences and designs that speak directly to our users' needs. Utilizing tools like Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop, you'll work closely with our development teams to transform ideas and concepts into user-centered designs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design intuitive and user-centric web and mobile applications using Figma.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes to explore and communicate design concepts.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements and integrate user feedback into design iterations.
  • Utilize Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to produce high-quality visual designs from concept to execution.
  • Ensure consistency of brand and design standards across all digital customer touchpoints.
  • Conduct usability testing and apply insights to improve user experience.
  • Stay abreast of UI/UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds.
  • Provide and solicit feedback from other designers to continually raise our bar for quality.


Qualifications:


  • At least 1 year of proven experience in UI/UX design, particularly in designing web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design thinking, process, and solutions to user-centered design challenges.
  • Understanding of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles.
  • Knowledge of current UI/UX best practices and web/mobile design trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with product managers and developers.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details, ensuring the final product meets the desired standards of excellence.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with user research, usability testing, and A/B testing.

Familiarity with front-end development web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
