The Fabric Finishing Incharge will be responsible for supervising and managing all finishing operations to ensure fabrics meet quality, customer, and production standards. The role demands strong technical knowledge of textile finishing processes, leadership skills, and hands-on experience to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and control daily finishing operations, including processes such as stentering, sanforizing, calendaring, heat setting, and other finishing treatments.
- Ensure finished fabrics meet required quality specifications (hand feel, shrinkage, appearance, and performance).
- Monitor production targets and ensure timely completion of finishing schedules.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in finishing processes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to maintain process standards.
- Train and guide operators and finishing staff to improve efficiency and maintain discipline.
- Ensure proper machine maintenance schedules are followed to avoid downtime.
- Maintain production and process records for reporting and audits.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in finishing operations.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering (preferred) or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fabric finishing operations within the textile industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of finishing machines, processes, and quality standards.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Good communication and leadership skills to manage workforce effectively.
