As a Fabrication Manager , you will oversee the manufacturing processes and operations within the fabrication facility. Your role is crucial in ensuring efficient production, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of fabricated products. You will lead a team of production personnel, manage resources, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and meet organizational objectives.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in fabrication management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and project management.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 15 years’ experience in fabrication management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production Management

  • Plan, organize, and oversee fabrication operations to meet production targets and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that fabricated products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to continuously improve processes and reduce defects.

Resource Management

  • Manage and optimize resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and motivate production teams to achieve performance goals and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to employees to enhance skills and competencies.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and open communication among team members.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
  • Implement safety procedures, conduct safety training, and enforce safety rules and practices.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and productivity enhancements.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
  • Encourage innovation and creativity among team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives
