Facilities Engineer (Mechanical)

Job Description:

· Lead and supervise the maintenance team responsible for HVAC systems, electrical equipment, firefighting and fire alarm systems, plumbing, and carpentry activities.

· Plan, coordinate, and manage the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical utilities, including chillers, air handling units, A/C systems, heaters, diesel generators, and UPS systems.

· Oversee the implementation of periodic, preventive, and corrective maintenance plans.

· Monitor electrical and chilled water consumption to ensure alignment with budget; investigate and report on any variances or overages.

· Ensure timely availability of spare parts, tools, and safety equipment required for maintenance operations.

· Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and standards.

· Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all maintenance activities.

· Coordinate and supervise installation and maintenance work conducted by contractors and external vendors, including development, renovation, and replacement projects.

· Conduct regular audits to ensure operational continuity and compliance with client agreements, and identify areas for improvement.

· Assist in preparing budgets for additional/extra works as needed.

· Generate and submit monthly reports on trouble tickets and preventive maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

· From 3 to 5 years of experience in facility management or similar projects.

· Strong technical background in mechanical and MEP systems.

· Proven leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

· Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

· Strong sense of urgency and ability to respond quickly to complex issues.

· Location: New Cairo, Egypt

· Nationality: Egyptians Only.
