Job Overview

The Society Manager oversees the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration of a residential or commercial society. The role involves coordinating with residents, managing vendors, handling finances, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and maintaining a clean and secure living environment for all members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Duties:
  • Manage the society’s day-to-day operations, including security, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain proper records of society documents, including meeting minutes, vendor agreements, and resident directories.
  • Handle society correspondence, including notices, circulars, and communications to residents and vendors.
  • Vendor and Staff Management:
  • Supervise third-party vendors such as housekeeping, landscaping, and security teams.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers to ensure cost efficiency and quality service.
  • Recruit, train, and monitor society staff like electricians, plumbers, and maintenance workers.
  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee society finances, including budgeting, expense tracking, and preparing financial reports.
  • Ensure timely collection of maintenance fees, electricity bills, and other dues.
  • Liaise with the treasurer or accountant for audits and financial compliance.
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Monitor the upkeep of common areas, elevators, and amenities like swimming pools, gyms, and clubhouses.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently.
  • Address resident complaints regarding maintenance or facilities promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure the society complies with all statutory requirements, such as fire safety norms, waste management, and building regulations.
  • Handle legal issues in coordination with the society committee and legal advisors.
  • Resident Relations:
  • Act as a liaison between the management committee and residents.
  • Resolve conflicts and address grievances of society members effectively.
  • Assist in organizing events or community-building activities.
  • Emergency Management:
  • Develop and implement procedures for emergencies like fire, natural disasters, or security threats.
  • Coordinate with local authorities during crises.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in property management, facility management, or related roles. Experience in managing large residential or commercial complexes is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., MyGate, ApnaComplex).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Resident satisfaction level.
  • Timeliness and quality of maintenance and repairs.
  • Efficient vendor and staff management.
  • Compliance with statutory regulations and timely renewals of contracts/licenses.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
