Our new production unit started in Musiri - Trichy Dist.
Post: Factory Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operations
- Plan, organize, and control daily factory operations to meet production targets.
- Ensure optimal utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Implement quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework.
Maintenance & Equipment
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
- Ensure minimal downtime and efficient machine performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
Manpower Management
- Manage workforce planning, shift allocation, and productivity.
- Train, guide, and evaluate supervisors and shop-floor staff.
- Maintain discipline and foster a positive work culture.
Cost & Inventory Control
- Control production costs, wastage, and material consumption.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with purchase and stores departments.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, factory acts, and labor laws.
- Implement safety procedures and conduct regular audits.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/industry regulations.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Coordinate with Sales, Planning, Purchase, and Logistics teams.
- Support management in strategic planning and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8–15 years in manufacturing operations
- At least 3–5 years in a Factory / Plant Manager role
- Diploma in Engineering with extensive relevant experience may also be considered
- Master’s Degree (MBA / M.Tech / PGDM in Operations / Production Management)
- Certification or training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, ISO (9001/14001/45001) is an added advantage
- Knowledge of Factory Act, labor laws, safety, and statutory compliance
