Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Law Attorney with 5 plus years experience to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal expertise, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients in family law matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases involving divorce, child custody, adoption, and other family-related legal issues. The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel, representing clients in court, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for those we serve. Candidates should have a solid background in various legal areas including estate planning, litigation, and legal research, with proficiency in tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and alimony.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other resources to support case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations to advocate for their interests effectively.
  • Provide expert advice on related areas such as estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, environmental law, patent law, and litigation when applicable.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop personalized legal strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines.
  • Stay current on evolving laws and regulations affecting family law practice through ongoing research and professional development.

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar with a valid license to practice family law.
  • Proven experience handling family law cases from inception through resolution.
  • Strong background in legal research utilizing Westlaw and LexisNexis platforms.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of favorable settlements.
  • Experience with litigation processes including court appearances and trial preparation.
  • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of legal areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law.
  • Excellent writing skills with proficiency in legal drafting and administrative documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
