To manage the procurement of food, beverages, and related supplies in accordance with the company’s standards, quality requirements, and budget. The role ensures timely availability of all F&B items while maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring stock levels, and supporting cost control efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Source and procure food, beverage, and consumable items from approved suppliers in line with company policies and specifications.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors for pricing, terms, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Obtain quotations and conduct cost comparisons to ensure best value for money.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the store and kitchen teams to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Prepare and process purchase orders based on requisitions from F&B departments.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and delivery details.
Supplier Management
- Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery timelines, and service.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and resolution of supply issues.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all purchases comply with food safety and hygiene standards as per Qatar regulations and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date records for procurement audits and compliance checks.
- Work closely with accounts to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Assist in preparing F&B budgets and forecasts related to procurement.
- Support cost control initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
- Track price trends and market changes that impact procurement strategy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in F&B procurement, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procurement regulations in Qatar.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement software.
- Knowledge of local and international F&B supply markets is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
