JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Thoroughly review, analyze, and interpret furniture solicitation documents and Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure full understanding of project requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and engage with qualified suppliers and vendors capable of meeting specified criteria.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements with suppliers and vendors to secure the best value for the company.
- Prepare, compile, and submit comprehensive tenders, contracts, RFIs, RFQs, BOQs, and formal bidding proposals in accordance with client specifications.
- Manage multiple projects independently, maintaining an optimal pace to meet all deadlines and deliverables with precision.
- Successfully secure bids and contracts, ensuring strict adherence to all contractual terms during execution.
- Process Purchase Orders, Material Request Forms, and Delivery Notes efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle—from market research and solicitation, through procurement and project execution, to delivery and completion—ensuring seamless coordination and follow-up.
- Proactively manage and resolve any post-sales client concerns to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Consistently meet or exceed all solicitation and bidding deadlines, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Develop detailed, well-structured proposal documents tailored to formal bidding processes and customer demands.
- Maintain ongoing communication with furniture suppliers to monitor order progress and address any potential delays or issues.
- Conduct thorough market pricing analysis to benchmark winning bids and optimize procurement strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely closure of orders and contracts.
- Collaborate closely with logistics and procurement departments to facilitate smooth and timely delivery of furniture products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives and company goals.
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience in procurement with a strong focus on furniture tendering and contract management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Highly self-motivated, professional in demeanour, and driven by results.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with a clear and neutral accent.
- Proven ability to thrive in a multicultural environment and collaborate effectively as part of a diverse team.
- Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to perform efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Sound decision-making skills, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
