Job Overview

KIG Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Import/Export Officer to join our team in Gulberg, Lahore. The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end logistics and documentation process for materials moving into and out of Pakistan, ensuring full compliance with local laws and international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: Prepare and verify all import/export documentation, including Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading, and Certificates of Origin.
• Customs & WeBOC: Manage the electronic filing of Goods Declarations (GDs) via the WeBOC system and oversee the customs clearance process.
• Banking Coordination: Handle L/C opening, amendments, and document retirement. Liaise with banks for Electronic Import Forms (E-IFE) and export proceeds realization.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping lines to obtain competitive freight quotes and track shipments until they reach the final destination.
• Compliance: Ensure all shipments adhere to Pakistan’s Import Policy Order, SBP regulations, and customs requirements to avoid penalties or delays.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all shipments and provide weekly status reports to management using MS Excel.

Candidate Requirements

• Education: Minimum Bachelors (B.Com, BBA, or related field).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the import/export of materials within Pakistan.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office (specifically advanced MS Excel for tracking and reporting).
• Hands-on experience with WeBOC.[4][5][6]
• Deep understanding of Incoterms.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet shipping deadlines.
• Location: Must be able to work onsite at our Gulberg office.
