Field Sales & Market Research Representative

Role summary

You will be the company’s feet on the ground — responsible for researching industrial markets, identifying relevant manufacturing units and companies, personally meeting the right decision-makers, and validating whether our product idea can be manufactured/assembled by local companies. This is a hands-on role with a heavy travel component and strong emphasis on relevant market data collection and market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

  • Map and identify target companies in industrial clusters and manufacturing hubs (across various industries).
  • Visit manufacturing units and factories with product blueprints and promotional material; present samples to procurement/production/MD/Senior-level contacts.
  • Build a contact list: company name, plant location, decision-maker name & role, contact details, brief notes on capability/interest.
  • Collect structured market feedback on product fit, potential manufacturing partners, price expectations, and competitor intelligence.
  • Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with procurement/manufacturing decision makers.
  • Negotiate and explore pilot/manufacture opportunities where factories can produce our product (OEM/contract manufacturing).
  • Log all visits, sample distributions, meeting outcomes and follow-ups in the company CRM/Google Sheet daily.
  • Deliver weekly field reports and one consolidated market assessment at the end of the month (including recommendations for go-to-market).
  • Work with head office to refine sample approach, pricing tests, and pilot plans based on field feedback.

Expected day / week activities (example)

  • 4–6 field visits per day in high-density industrial areas (adjustable by city).
  • 2–4 meaningful meetings with procurement / plant managers per week.
  • Weekly submission of: visit log, top 10 lead list, and one short market insight note.
  • Weekly review call with department head/Founder to align on findings and next steps.

Deliverables & KPIs (initial target — negotiable)

  • Identify and log 50+ relevant companies across assigned cities within the first month.
  • Arrange at least 10 qualified meetings in month 1; 15+ by month 2.
  • Deliver product blueprints to 30+ manufacturing units in first 6 weeks.
  • Produce 1 actionable market feasibility report (product/manufacturing fit + pricing guidance) by contract end.
  • Generate at least 3 qualified OEM/manufacturing partner leads or pilot commitments (target dependent on product).

Required skills & experience

  • 1–3 years of B2B or field sales experience — preferably with exposure to industrial/manufacturing sales, supply chain, or procurement. Fresh graduates with strong field experience and hustle may be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills in English (reading/writing).
  • Comfortable with long-distance local travel and flexible hours.
  • Strong documentation habits — able to produce neat visit logs and concise reports.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, persuasive, and resilient (able to handle cold-approaches at factories).
  • Basic smartphone skills for mapping, calls, and Google Sheets / WhatsApp reporting.

Desirable (but not mandatory)

  • Prior network/contacts in industrial clusters (Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, etc.).
  • Experience identifying or managing contract manufacturers / OEM relationships.
  • Basic technical understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to our product category.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
