Finance and Accounting Assistant

Job Summary

As the Finance and Accounting Assistant, you will execute bookkeeping, payroll, lending operations, and financial reporting tasks by following established processes and procedures. You'll learn our systems through documentation and video walkthroughs, then follow the rules consistently and accurately.

Role Success Statements

• Month-end close is completed accurately and on schedule
• Payroll and lending operations run without interruption or discrepancies
• QuickBooks and financial records are reconciled and up-to-date
• All processes are followed consistently and documented discrepancies are reported

Essential Responsibilities

• Enter invoices, receipts, and transactions into QuickBooks following the chart of accounts and documented procedures
• Match bank and credit card statements to QB entries; identify and flag discrepancies
• Review QB data for accuracy and completeness before month-end close
• Enter payroll data and coordinate timing with payroll provider per documented process
• Process lending submissions and draw requests following documented procedures
• Match lender statements to QB lending records; flag mismatches or timing issues
• Execute cash flow processes and tracking following established checklists and procedures
• Compare deal records to QB entries; flag mismatches to management
• Follow all processes consistently and flag discrepancies or exceptions to management

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following procedures
• Ability to learn processes from written documentation and videos
• Reliable and consistent in completing repetitive tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• No prior experience needed but preferred

Compensation

• $20 per hour
• Part-time, 20 hours/week
