We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Controller to lead our financial management function and drive financial excellence across the organization. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the management, responsible for all financial planning, reporting, compliance, and management accounting activities.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive financial leader with deep expertise in UAE financial regulations, IFRS accounting standards, and multi-divisional business management. You will oversee a talented finance team and play a critical role in supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Integrity:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a strong internal control environment across all group companies.
  • Lead and own the entire month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and deadlines are met.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the accuracy of the general ledger, AP, AR, and fixed asset registers.

Group Consolidation & Reporting:

  • Manage the complex financial consolidation of our three business units.
  • Oversee all inter-company transactions and ensure meticulous reconciliation.
  • Prepare and present timely, accurate, and consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to senior management in accordance with IFRS.

Compliance, Audit & Tax:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and lead the annual group audit from start to finish.
  • Ensure full compliance with all UAE financial regulations, including IFRS, UAE Corporate Tax, and VAT.
  • Ensure the real estate division is fully compliant with all RERA financial and escrow account regulations.
  • Manage all banking relationships and ensure compliance with covenants.

Operational & Business Partnership:

  • Provide expert oversight on the unique financial aspects of each division:
  • Holiday Homes: Ensure the accuracy of owner statements and revenue recognition from OTAs.
  • Interiors: Oversee the financial integrity of all project accounting, job costing, and budget-to-actual reporting.
  • Real Estate: Ensure correct agent commission accounting and escrow management.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation within the finance department.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the entire accounting team (including the Finance Manager and accountants).
  • Set departmental goals and manage performance, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in as a Financial Controller or senior finance management role.
  • Essential Experience: Must have worked in a group or holding company structure with responsibility for financial consolidation.
  • Industry Experience: A strong background in real estate, property development, or hospitality is essential. Experience with project-based (interiors/construction) accounting is a major advantage.
  • Expert-level knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax laws (VAT & corporate tax).
