About the job

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Director to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of US and Canadian accounting principles (GAAP and relevant Canadian standards), possess exceptional analytical skills, and have a proven track record of managing financial teams. This role is critical to ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization, providing accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management and Oversight:
• Oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with US and Canadian GAAP and other relevant regulations.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analyses to higher management.
• Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial resources.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial plans.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations in both US and Canada, including filing of corporate income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other required filings.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Utilize advanced Excel skills and other data analysis tools to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Accounting ERP System Management:
• Oversee the management and maintenance of the accounting ERP.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the system.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
• Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability within the team.

• Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with proven 4+ experience in both the US and Canadian markets (US Experience is must).
• Extensive experience with data analysis and advanced Excel skills is mandatory.
• Mandatory experience with accounting Microsoft Dynamics and ERP software.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Note: It’s a Full-time On-site job in Gulberg 3, Lahore

Timings: 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM / 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM / 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM Pakistan time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs600,000.00 per month
