Finance Manager

Job Description:

As the Finance Manager at Kifayat Publishers, you will play a key role in overseeing the company’s financial operations. You will be responsible for managing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of finance, accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Prepare accurate financial forecasts and help develop strategies for achieving financial goals.

Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.

Accounting & Reporting:

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

Ensure accurate and timely closing of financial records at month-end and year-end.

Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.

Compliance & Audits:

Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and international standards (if applicable).

Coordinate and prepare for audits with external auditors.

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure liquidity for day-to-day operations.

Manage financial risks and implement effective financial controls.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing support and guidance in their professional development.

Coordinate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting, or a related field.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the publishing or education industry.

Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and financial software (e.g., Busy or similar).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong leadership capabilities and ability to work under pressure.
