Finance Manager

Position Summary

Frequent Flyers Productions is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the organization’s fiscal health and administrative systems. This is a vital role for a professional with solid financial experience who enjoys a mix of high-level budgeting and hands-on operational tasks.

You will be a key part of a world-class arts organization, helping to sustain the infrastructure that allows our dancers and students to fly.

This is an exempt position of approximately 15 hours per week. Benefits include paid holidays and PTO as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Hours are flexible and can be partly remote with some in-person as needed.

The Finance Manager works collaboratively and respectfully with staff, contractors, and the Board of Directors.

Salary DOE: $19,000-$22,000

Founded in 1988 and based in Boulder, Colorado, Frequent Flyers® Productions (FFP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit and the nation’s premier aerial dance organization. Our mission is to create and promote the magic of aerial dance through performance and education, helping people see the world from a new perspective.

We operate a year-round Aerial Dance School, a Professional Performance Company, and the world-renowned international Aerial Dance Festival (ADF). From outreach programs like "Kids Who Fly" for at-risk youth to professional training for aspiring artists, FFP is a flagship institution in the global aerial arts community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting: Lead the preparation of the annual budget and provide regular updates on performance against targets.
  • Accounts Payable: Process payments for teacher invoices, staff/work-study timesheets, and vendors via BillPay or checks.
  • Pricing & Revenue: Maintain and revise class pricing in established systems; reconcile cash boxes for drop-in classes and on-site sales.
  • Board Reporting: Prepare financial reports and cash flow projections for Board review.
  • Grant Assistance: Assist with financial data for grant reporting and applications.
  • Donor Management: Track contributions and reconcile with bookkeeping.
  • Aerial Dance Festival (ADF): Ensure all artists are paid accurately per contract.
  • Student Enrollments: Track payments and enrollments for classes, camps, and intensives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Financial Expertise: Solid experience in bookkeeping or financial management (non-profit experience preferred but not required)
  • Spreadsheet Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel
  • System Savvy: Experience with or ability to adapt to systems and software; Google Suite, MindBody Online, Quickbooks Pro.
  • Self-Directed: Ability to manage a diverse list of tasks independently in a remote environment.
  • Professionalism: High level of discretion and accuracy; a "professional" mindset that can balance time-sensitive micro-tasks (timesheets) with macro-reporting (cash flow).
