Financial Analyst

Ibex is hiring a "Financial Analyst" for one of it's global client.


The role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our EMEA Regional Finance team, supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting related to energy usage, profitability, billing and forecasting. This role will bridge finance and operations by providing data-driven insights on local energy markets, utility spend, and forecasting utility needs based on new capacity growth in the region. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial modeling skills with an understanding of energy trends.


What you’ll do:

• Develop, maintain, and improve financial models for energy cost forecasting, variance analysis, and budgeting

• Support the migration of manually compiled data into the planning tool to build a system-driven forecasting model

• Support long-range planning and scenario modeling around energy pricing, consumption, and hedging strategies

• Analyze historical and forward-looking energy consumption and cost data to identify trends and variances

• Support evaluation of renewable energy contracts, utility tariffs, and power purchase agreements (PPAs)

• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for energy profitability

• Provide insights into potential financial exposure and hedging opportunities

• Assist in assessing financial impact of energy procurement strategies

• Supporting procurement and accounting with the preparation of utility monthly billing with both utility providers and customers

• Collaborate with operations, sustainability, and procurement teams to align financial goals with energy strategy

• Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations to leadership for decision-making


What you’ll need:

• 5+ years’ of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or energy analytics.

• Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills; proficiency in Excel and financial software (Oracle EPM and Power BI)

• Experience with energy markets, utility rate structures, or commodity risk management a plus

• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

• Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment

• Highly effective communicator both written and orally

• Practical, results-oriented team builder with superior analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills

• Team player, flexible and adaptable to change

• Fluency in English is a must, additional languages desirable
