Financial Controller

The Role
Financial Controller Role Overview • EnergyX is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to support the Strategy Team in M&A execution, fundraising, and financial reporting readiness. • The role requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with transaction exposure, working closely with senior leadership, investors, auditors, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities Financial Control & Reporting: • Oversee group-level financial controls and reporting across entities. • Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports. • Ensure compliance with IFRS / US GAAP. M&A Transactions: • Support buy-side and sell-side M&A from a financial perspective. • Prepare financial data rooms and due diligence materials. • Assist with post-acquisition accounting and integration. Financial Controls & Forecasting: • Maintain financial controls, including monitoring group-level unit economics, KPIs, expenses, and financial forecasts, while strengthening accounting policies and processes.

Requirements
Educational Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent preferred. Experience: • 7–10+ years in accounting and financial control. • Experience in financial controls and reporting. Preferred Qualifications: • IPO or public-company reporting exposure. • Qatari nationals preferred. Key Skills: • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills. • High attention to detail and ownership mindset. • Ability to work in fast-paced, transaction-driven environments.
