Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial management, ensuring accurate reporting and fiscal responsibility across all departments. <Responsibilities>

• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and adherence to organizational policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including governmental and non-profit accounting standards such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support organizational objectives.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls related to financial processes, including SOX compliance measures.
• Supervise the use of accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms for efficient financial management.
• Conduct financial analysis and account analysis to inform decision-making and improve financial performance.
• Oversee payroll processing, cash management, and account reconciliation activities with precision.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior leadership, board members, and regulatory agencies.

<Requirements>

• Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong background in governmental or non-profit sectors preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of cash management strategies, budgeting processes, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation procedures.
• Effective communication skills for preparing clear financial documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Pay: $36.45 - $40.13 per hour
