Could you be the full-time Production Manager (Services)/Fleet and Maintenance Manager in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your production management expertise in a cutting-edge and dynamic field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.

You'll ensure that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved by executing the production plan and efficiently managing resources. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Fleet Management, Test Teams, and Sub-contractors), oversee production activities, and proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll specifically take care of delivering trains on time in a safe, clean, and fully functional condition to our customers, but also ensure that the infrastructure is maintained to the required standards.

We’ll look to you for:

• Managing a production team and monitoring production on a shift-by-shift basis

• Ensuring accountability for production is clearly defined and delegated

• Identifying staffing requirements and ensuring flexibility and productivity

• Driving organizational change to optimize working practices

• Ensuring all production meets safety and quality standards

• Minimizing depot-operating costs and maximizing efficiencies

• Proactively identifying and implementing areas for improvement

• Managing relationships with sub-contractors and customers

• Higher National Certificate, or equivalent, in an Engineering field (preferred)

• Experience managing large groups of staff (10+)

• Knowledge of fleet and/or maintenance operations and planning

• Technical knowledge of traction and rolling stock

• Understanding of railway depot and industry operations (preferred)

• Familiarity with local customer requirements

• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office packages, email, and intranet

• Strong communication and manpower management skills

• Fluency in the country’s language
