Fleet Supervisor

Role Overview

The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for supervising drivers, ensuring vehicle readiness, maintaining records, and supporting the overall logistics and maintenance functions. The role includes monitoring driving performance, coordinating with internal departments, and implementing continuous improvement and safety initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Lead by example in fostering a strong health and safety culture.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and enforce PPE and SOP compliance.
  • Report near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring zero personal involvement in accidents.
  • Promote safety awareness and contribute to accident investigations and preventive measures.

Fleet Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and schedule trucks across all branches to optimize resources.
  • Liaise with RMG plants, maintenance, and shipping teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee truck inspections, driver schedules, and ensure documentation and reporting accuracy.
  • Coordinate spot hires, road permits, and ensure all vehicles meet RMG standards.

Fleet Management & Maintenance

  • Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance records, ensuring timely servicing.
  • Utilize GPS and other monitoring systems to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Support workshop coordination and ensure all fleet units meet delivery and quality standards.

Driver Management & Assessment

  • Assess driving and equipment operating competencies every two years.
  • Provide defensive driving training and support driver retraining when necessary.
  • Review driver KPIs, manage appraisals, and maintain a high-performing, safety-driven team.

People Management

  • Supervise, coach, and develop drivers and fleet staff.
  • Manage attendance, appraisals, leave, and performance improvement plans in coordination with HR.
  • Foster teamwork and proactive communication across departments.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and local transport laws.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet utilization, safety reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Support internal control testing and suggest process improvements when required.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Certificate in a relevant field.
  • Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle (HGV) driving license (mandatory).
  • 3–4 years of supervisory experience in a Ready-Mix or transport industry .
  • Strong knowledge of RMX fleet management and mobile concrete pump operations.
