Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: create and test new food products or improve the flavor, texture, and nutritional value of existing ones by applying knowledge of food chemistry, biology and engineering.
  • Test & Analysis: conduct laboratory experiments and analyses, including shelf life studies, sensory evaluations, microbiological and chemical testing to assess product quality and safety.
  • Process Improvement: Optimize food production processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain food safety protocols, such as HACCP, and conduct quality control testing to ensure compliance with safety, nutritional, and taste standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products meet national food safety and quality standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of research findings, product formulations and technical specifications for legal and future reference.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: work with diverse teams, including marketing, production and quality assurance to bring new products from concept to launch.
  • Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends, scientific advancements, and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field such as Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology is required.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years’ industrial experience preferably in a food and/or beverage processing company.
  • Certifications: Certifications like Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22 000, GMP an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs49,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
