Footwear Designer

A Seasoned Footwear company is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Footwear Designer to join our design and product development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative footwear collections that align with our brand identity and market trends. This role requires a strong sense of style, technical knowledge of footwear construction, and the ability to translate ideas into commercially viable products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Concept Development
• Create original footwear designs, sketches, and prototypes.
• Research global fashion and footwear trends to inspire new collections.
• Develop seasonal concepts that balance creativity with market demand.
• Product Development
• Collaborate with R&D, merchandising, and production teams to bring designs to life.
• Select appropriate materials, colors, and finishes for each design.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Innovation & Quality
• Experiment with new materials and construction techniques.
• Ensure designs meet standards of comfort, durability, and performance.
• Incorporate customer feedback and testing results into design improvements.
• Collaboration
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to align designs with brand strategy.
• Present design concepts and collections to management for approval.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in footwear design (men’s, women’s, or sportswear)
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of footwear design processes and materials.
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools).
• Ability to create detailed technical drawings and prototypes.
• Creativity, trend awareness, and problem-solving skills.
