Position Overview

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing the on-site operations of renovation and maintenance projects. The role includes overseeing construction activities, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Site Supervisor will coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring that health, safety, and quality standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities on-site, ensuring that work progresses according to project timelines.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors and workers to ensure they meet quality standards and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local building codes, company policies, and project specifications.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and ensure that workers follow health and safety guidelines on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Quality Control:
  • Monitor and verify the quality of workmanship and materials used on-site.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that all construction and renovation tasks meet or exceed the required standards.
  • Report any issues or defects to the Project Manager and collaborate on solutions to resolve them quickly.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Act as the main point of contact between the project manager, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
  • Communicate project progress, delays, or issues to the Project Manager and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials, ensuring they are on-site when needed and safely stored.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage and allocate resources efficiently to ensure work progresses without delays.
  • Supervise labor allocation, ensuring workers are performing the correct tasks at the right time.
  • Monitor the use of materials and tools, ensuring no wastage and that equipment is in working condition.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain daily logs of site activities, including work completed, materials used, and any challenges encountered.
  • Ensure all documentation related to project progress, site issues, and inspections are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Prepare regular reports on site progress and submit them to the Project Manager for review.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
  • Address and resolve issues that arise during the construction process, including delays, design changes, and quality control problems.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and team members to resolve any technical or logistical challenges that may arise on-site.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the on-site workforce, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Encourage teamwork and positive working relationships among all on-site personnel.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, ensuring they understand and follow best practices in construction and safety.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in construction, renovation, or maintenance projects.
  • Proven experience managing on-site activities and coordinating teams in the UAE or similar markets.
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial renovation projects is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Language Skills:
  • Proficiency in English is required. Arabic skills are a plus but not mandatory.
