Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance Sales Specialist to join our team. The selected candidate will be the primary point of contact for customers, responsible for driving sales, securing freight business, and ensuring smooth coordination with our Pricing, Operations, Customer Service (CS), and Documentation (Docs) department.

This role requires a strong balance of sales acumen, client relationship management, and operational understanding. While the Pricing Team will negotiate and obtain freight rates directly from shipping lines, this role will focus on selling freight solutions to customers, ensuring competitive offerings, and coordinating the end-to-end shipment cycle.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development

● Generate and convert leads for sea and air freight into confirmed business.

● Proactively engage new and existing customers to promote services and close sales.

● Identify prospective clients, develop accounts, and achieve sales and revenue targets.

● Build and maintain a database of customers and cargo profiles to support sales strategy.

● Conduct client visits, presentations, and negotiations with exporters of various commodities.

Customer Relationship Management

● Act as the main customer-facing representative, ensuring end-to-end support.

● Deliver a complete logistics solution (freight + operational support).

● Resolve customer queries promptly and ensure service satisfaction.

● Drive customer retention by identifying repeat and cross-selling opportunities.

● Monitor payment status and coordinate with the Accounts department for timely collections.

Pricing Coordination

● Gather shipment requirements and prepare requests for the pricing department.

● Collaborate with the Pricing Department to secure competitive and timely freight quotations.

● Present rates and solutions to customers, ensuring transparency and clarity.

● Follow up on all quotations to convert into confirmed bookings.

Operations, CS & Documentation Coordination

● Liaise between customers and internal Operations, CS, and Documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.

● Track cargo movement (LCL/FCL, Airfreight) and update customers proactively.

● Work closely with overseas agents, carriers, and local partners to ensure timely booking confirmations and container arrangements.

● Support claims, rebates, or special approvals by liaising with customs and other agencies.

Accounts Coordination

● Coordinate precise billing details with Accounts & Finance for accurate and on-time invoicing.

● Coordinate with the Accounts department and follow up with clients on pending payments, ensuring smooth and timely recovery.

Qualifications & Skills

● Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or international trade is a plus.

● 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in sales, pricing coordination, or business development within shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.

● Strong knowledge of import/export operations (Sea & Air Freight).

● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

● Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, and ERP/CRM systems.

● Ability to multitask across sales, pricing coordination, and operational follow-ups.

● Proven track record of meeting sales targets and handling client relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year
