Position Title: Front Desk Agent / Guest Service Representative
Location: Hampton Inn - 350 Morris Ave, Denville, NJ 07834

Job Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting guests, processing check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and ensuring a positive guest experience throughout their stay. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering Hampton Inn's hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Verify guest information, assign rooms, issue room keys, and explain hotel amenities.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations through the Property Management System (PMS).
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and balance daily transactions accurately.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly.
- Resolve guest complaints and service requests professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of room rates, promotions, hotel services, and local attractions.
- Monitor room availability and accommodate special guest requests whenever possible.
- Ensure the front desk, lobby, and work areas remain clean, organized, and professional.
- Follow Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures.
- Complete shift reports and other administrative duties as assigned. (Workstream)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous hotel front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn hotel management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
