Front Desk Receptionist

JOB TITLE: Receptionist

STATUS: Regular, hourly, non-exempt PAY RATE: $18-$22 per hour

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

Position Status: Full-time regular employee at 36 hours/week. Nonexempt.

Front Desk Receptionist:

  • Provides service withintegrity, respect, empathy, and confidentiality to youth, families and donors;
  • Supports a safe and structured environment for all staff and youth.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant work experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Preferred: speaks fluent Spanish or Tiwa.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • General Receptionist Duties:
  • Greet people with a friendly, caring and professional demeanor.
  • Maintain office hours including answering phone and door Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Answer the main office phone, assist callers, and check voicemail daily.
  • Assist visitors in navigating what services they need and are eligible for.
  • Assist with “day resource” daily activities and help with day resource departmental needs.
  • Maintain the day resource calendar of visitors and appointments.
  • Work in collaboration with DreamTree’s Youth Shelter, Housing, department, Street Outreach, NEST Shelter and local agencies
  • Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to visitors including donors, youth and adult clients, individuals and families seeking services etc.
  • Assist people who come into the office in getting to the correct department or person, or providing information on community resources.
  • Enforce a visitor sign-in log, and ensure all visitors wear a visitor badge.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries, distributing packages or notifying recipients and Operations Coordinator.
  • Accept donations from walk-ins and provide receipts.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Check mail daily at Taos Post Office and three street boxes.
  • Sort mail, log incoming packages, open all DTP mail, scan and file bills to be paid, and log checks for deposit.
  • Distribute mail to client mailboxes for TLP and youth shelter.
  • Prepare signed checks for mailing, and distribute and log checks picked up at the office.
  • Assist with filing and other administrative tasks as directed.
  • Maintain office supply inventory list, including office supply and paper supply cabinets.
  • Assists in keeping client reservations and payments up to date with the hotel programs when active.
  • Makes and confirms reservations for outside meeting spaces when needed.
  • Oversee vehicle and room reservations, and manage those calendars.
  • Manage petty cash box: distributing to staff as needed, collecting receipts, reconciling.
  • Hold the key for and maintain the deposit box.
  • Collecting staff ID photos and business card information, and keeping up to date in spreadsheets, and sending that info to the Design Team for ordering.
  • Little Green Light donation data entry and send Thank You notes to donors.
  • Maintain the on-call calendar.
  • Office Organization:
  • Coordination of the overall building organization, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist Operations Coordinator in organization of key lockboxes and monitoring staff key sign in and out.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Maintain a clean driving record based on DreamTree Project requirements.
  • Participate in other duties as assigned.

Additional Compensation:

  • $100 = 30 Days after start date
  • $100 = 60 Days after start date

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
