Early Hours Receptionist – Ambulatory Surgery Center (Full-Time)

Location: Leesburg & Lady Lake, FL
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Early Hours Receptionist to join our busy Ambulatory Surgery Center serving a gastroenterology practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.

The schedule will include early morning start times (as early as 5:30 AM) to prepare for the day's surgical cases. Hours may vary based on the surgery schedule, with the center operating until approximately 2:00 PM. Candidates should have flexibility with scheduling.

Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients for scheduled procedures
• Verify patient demographics, insurance, and required documentation
• Register patients accurately using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
• Coordinate with nurses, physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff regarding patient arrivals
• Collect co-pays and process patient paperwork
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Ensure the reception area remains organized and professional
• Assist with scanning, filing, faxing, and other administrative duties
• Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of medical receptionist experience required
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgery center, endoscopy center, hospital, or specialty medical practice is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Comfortable with early morning shifts
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus
