Front Desk Student Assistant for Aeronautics

The occupant of this position will act as a student worker for the School of Aeronautics. The occupant will be part of a fast-paced and dynamic team. Job duties will include but are not limited to: greeting guests, answering phones; incoming & outgoing mail, assisting with various events and activities; general office organization; administrative projects and providing general assistance to the Associate Dean, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant and Faculty. This position requires someone who is able to work independently, well under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment at all times.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Open & close lobby, keeping it clean, tidy and stocked.

2. Tidy and stock briefing rooms.

3. Promptly respond to phone calls and voicemail messages.

4. Extend hospitality to all, greeting & directing students & guests.

5. Give tours of Academic Center as needed.

6. Answer questions (or direct to appropriate person) from students, faculty, staff, prospective students & outside vendors.

7. Responsible for incoming & outgoing mail.

8. Inform Administrative Assistant of low inventory.

9. Assists with special events.

10. Assists with various projects as needed.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Must be a registered student of Liberty University. Current School of Aeronautics student preferred.
