Fuel Dispatcher

Summary:

SUPA, Inc. is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Fuel Dispatcher to join our logistics team. As a Fuel Dispatcher, you are responsible for coordinating and directing the movement of drivers and fuel trucks, ensuring timely and safe delivery of fuel to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an understanding of dispatch operations and a keen eye for detail. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a high level of service and satisfaction for our customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the fuel dispatch department, ensuring all deliveries are scheduled and dispatched efficiently.

· Maintain communication with drivers to provide updates on delivery schedules, fuel loading & other pertinent information.

· Efficiently utilize our technology systems such as Truefill and Motive to create all deliveries, dispatches & driver information.

· Resolve delivery-related issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation flow, addressing and resolving any logistical challenges that arise.

· Facilitate the collection of accurate fuel transactions, delivery times, and other dispatch-related data.

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.

· Monitor fuel inventory levels and communicate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock is maintained.

· Provide continuous improvement suggestions to optimize dispatch processes and minimize costs while ensuring the highest level of service.

· Support and facilitate organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication.

  • Experience with MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Education & Experience:

· High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred;

· Previous experience in a dispatching role, preferably in the fuel or transportation industry; OR

· Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

· Proficiency with dispatching software and GPS systems.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat and use keyboard.

· Lifting Requirements: Lift/pull up to 15lbs regularly; up to 30lbs on occasion.

· Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment and verbal instructions.

· Cognitive Requirements: Complex reading, writing and math skills. Complex speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.

· Vision Requirements: General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), color vision and peripheral vision.

· Noise Levels: Normal (<85dB) noise levels.

· Repetitive Motion(s): Regularly & repetitively use both feet and both hands.

· Environmental Factors: General working conditions include a fast-paced office environment with numerous distractions like others talking, office equipment noise and phones ringing.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
