Position Summary
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to secure financial support for the organization. This role focuses on donor cultivation, fundraising campaigns, grant opportunities, corporate partnerships, and stewardship practices to meet annual revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead multi-channel fundraising campaigns (e.g., digital, direct mail, special events).
- Identify opportunities to diversify funding streams and increase donor engagement.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, major gift prospects, and corporate partners.
- Create tailored donor stewardship plans, including recognition and impact reporting.
- Conduct donor outreach, meetings, and presentations to promote giving.
Grant Management
- Research, identify, and apply for relevant grant opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate grant calendars to meet deadlines.
Data & Reporting
- Track fundraising metrics, donor information, and campaign results using CRM or donor management systems.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising reports for leadership.
- Analyze trends to adjust strategy and improve results.
Event Management
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events such as galas, auctions, and donor appreciation events.
- Manage event budgets, sponsorship packages, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee event promotion and post-event follow-up with stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with marketing, communications, and program teams to create cohesive fundraising messages.
- Ensure consistent branding and storytelling across donor materials.
- Support board members and volunteers with fundraising training and engagement.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations.
- Demonstrated experience meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Experience with donor management software
Preferred
- Experience managing major gifts or corporate partnerships.
- Knowledge of fundraising laws, ethics, and best practices.
- Background in [industry: e.g., education, healthcare, arts, social services].
