Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead a Facility Management Company delivering integrated hard and soft FM services. The role is responsible for overall business performance, operational excellence, business development , and client relationship management , ensuring sustainable growth, service quality, and profitability. This position will drive market expansion, strengthen client partnerships, and oversee end-to-end FM operations in line with contractual, regulatory, and QHSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Management

  • Define and execute the FM company’s strategy, business plans, and growth initiatives.
  • Drive revenue growth through business development, market expansion, and client acquisition .
  • Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and service offerings to expand the FM portfolio.

Business Development & Client Relations

  • Lead BD activities , including opportunity identification, client engagement, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, property owners, developers, and asset managers.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, contract retention, and long-term partnerships.

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of hard FM services (MEP, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, civil) and soft FM services (cleaning, security, landscaping, waste management).
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and service standards across all FM contracts.
  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies and asset management best practices.

Commercial, Contract & Financial Management

  • Oversee contract performance, renewals, variations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability management.
  • Monitor margins, cash flow, and operational efficiency across all FM contracts.

QHSE, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, QHSE standards, and FM best practices.
  • Lead audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing FM leadership and operations team.
  • Drive workforce planning, capability development, and performance management.
  • Promote a safety-first, customer-focused, and results-driven culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or Business Administration ; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in the facility management industry, with 7–10 years in a senior leadership or GM role within an FM company .
  • Proven experience in business development, client acquisition, and key account management within FM.
  • Strong expertise in integrated FM contracts, SLAs, and multi-site operations.
  • Excellent commercial, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
