Role Overview:

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) is responsible for managing all official government-related activities and ensuring the company’s compliance with Saudi labor laws and other relevant regulations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining smooth relationships with government entities and supporting the business with efficient processing of employee and company documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all government-related processes, including but not limited to:
    • Iqama issuance, renewal, and transfer
    • Visa applications, cancellations, and extensions
    • Exit/re-entry and final exit permits
    • GOSI, Mudad, Qiwa, and Muqeem portal management
  • Liaise with various ministries and authorities such as the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Development (MHRSD), Jawazat, MOFA, and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Manage company registration renewals, commercial registration (CR), municipality licenses, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and keep the management informed of any updates or changes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all government transactions and official documentation.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a government documentation perspective.
  • Handle the submission and follow-up of government forms and letters, both online and offline.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key government stakeholders.
  • Provide timely reports and updates to management regarding ongoing and completed transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in government relations, preferably within the automotive or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian laws and regulations, particularly those related to the automotive sector.
  • Strong network within government bodies and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in operating government systems such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, and others.
