The Government Relations Officer (GRO) will handle all government and authority-related processes for the company’s interior design and fit-out projects. The role involves obtaining approvals, permits, and clearances from various UAE authorities to ensure smooth project execution and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage authority approvals and submissions related to fit-out and design projects.
- Liaise with and obtain necessary approvals from Dubai Municipality (DM), Civil Defense, DCD, DEWA, DDA, TECOM, Trakhees, EHS, and other relevant authorities.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on drawings, NOCs, and completion certificates.
- Ensure all project-related permits and approvals are obtained within deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all submissions, permits, and renewals.
- Coordinate with the design and project management teams to ensure documentation compliance.
- Handle company documentation related to trade license renewals, visa applications, and other official requirements when needed.
- Stay updated on changes in authority regulations and procedures affecting project approvals.
- Represent the company in meetings with authorities and inspectors as required.
- Support consultants, subcontractors, and clients in facilitating approval processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in authority coordination or PRO work within an interior design or fit-out company in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of authority procedures for Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, DEWA, DDA, Trakhees, TECOM, etc.
- Proficiency in online approval systems and submission portals.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
