Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Coordinator (Group Medical) responsible for assessing, evaluating, and underwriting group medical insurance applications for businesses, organizations, and other entities. This role is heavily client-focused, involving sales, operations, and client management teams to provide comprehensive insurance solutions to clients while ensuring profitability for the company.
The coordinator will liaise with clients, brokers, and internal teams, manage documentation, assist in risk evaluation, and ensure smooth policy administration.
Job Responsibilities:
Customer Communication and Support:
- Develop and propose customized medical insurance plans for groups, aligning with client needs while ensuring profitability and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with clients, agents, and sales advisors to explain underwriting decisions, provide clarifications, and resolve any issues related to medical coverage.
- Accompany sales advisors for client meetings and presentations when required.
Risk Evaluation:
- Evaluate and assess group medical insurance applications by analyzing client data, medical histories, claims records, and other relevant information to determine risk and coverage options.
- Calculate premiums based on risk factors, including group size, claims history, industry type, and health conditions.
- Monitor and analyze claims trends and emerging risks within group policies. Recommend adjustments to mitigate risks and optimize policy performance.
Compliance & Regulations:
- Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and UAE insurance laws.
- Ensure all underwriting activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of underwriting decisions, client communications, and policy changes.
- Prepare reports on underwriting activity, including risk exposure and trends.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with sales and account management teams to understand client needs, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support brokers by answering technical questions and providing recommendations on plan options.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year UAE experience in insurance or a similar insurance/financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of group health insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong ability to analyze complex data and make informed underwriting decisions.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical terms in an easily understandable manner.
- Familiarity with UAE insurance market and regulatory requirements is an advantage.
