Hardscape Installer

Position Overview

H2O-Matic Pool & Patio is seeking a skilled Hardscape Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on building high-quality outdoor living spaces including paver patios, retaining walls, artificial turf, putting greens, and masonry features.

We are a family-owned, turnkey outdoor living builder known for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing projects the right way. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team building premium backyard environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install paver patios (layout, base prep, screeding, laying, cutting, and finishing)
• Build retaining walls using segmental block systems
• Assist with outdoor living features including kitchens, fire pits, and seating walls
• Install artificial turf and putting greens (base prep, grading, turf layout, infill)
• Perform basic masonry work including block, stone, and veneer installation
• Operate jobsite equipment (plate compactors, skid steers, saws, etc.)
• Follow proper base preparation and drainage practices (ICPI/SRW standards)
• Read and execute project plans and layouts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Work as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently and to high standards

Qualifications

• Experience in hardscaping, landscaping, masonry, or construction preferred
• Valid Drivers License and ability to drive a trailer in tow is highly desired
• Strong understanding of base prep, grading, and compaction
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in all conditions
• Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well with a team and follow direction

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with Belgard, Techo-Bloc, or similar paver systems
• ICPI or hardscape certifications
• Equipment operation experience (skid steer, mini excavator)

Pay: $22.56 - $27.57 per hour
