Guest Experience
- Act as a brand ambassador, engaging with guests and demonstrating expert knowledge of coffee origins, blends, and preparation methods.
- Proactively handle guest feedback and resolve service issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to elevate the overall guest journey.
- Operations
- Oversee daily coffee and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and service.
- Develop and maintain specialty coffee menus, including seasonal and signature offerings aligned with the hotel’s luxury positioning.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of all coffee equipment.
- Maintain consistency in recipes, brewing methods, and service execution across all shifts.
- Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and IHG policies.
Quality & Standards
- Lead, train, and inspire the barista team to deliver personalized, memorable guest experiences.
- Conduct regular training on coffee knowledge, brewing techniques, service etiquette, and upselling.
- Schedule staff efficiently based on business levels and operational needs.
- Provide performance feedback, coaching, and support team development and retention.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Culinary, Pastry, and F&B leadership to create cohesive pairings and experiences.
- Stay current with global coffee trends and introduce innovative concepts suitable for a luxury hotel environment.
